Nicolás Oviedo-Dávila
Hi! I'm a PhD candidate in Economics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE). I did my MSc at the LSE and my MRes at UAB. Before academia, I worked in investment banking, private equity, and sustainable finance.
My research studies how to align business incentives with socially valuable outcomes. I work primarily on corporate finance and contract theory, combining theoretical and empirical methods. My recent work focuses on (i) designing incentives under information frictions in organizations and sustainable finance; and (ii) understanding how financial and ownership structures shape sustainable development. I also work on topics in networks, industrial organization, and energy economics.
